What a busy week of activities!

The children had lots of fun exploring our sunflower-themed tray using number blocks. They carefully placed the blocks on the sunflower petals, counted as they played, and matched different colours. They talked about the flowers, shared resources with their friends, and showed great concentration throughout the activity. This hands-on experience supported their early maths skills, fine motor development, creativity, and teamwork while learning about sunflowers in a fun and engaging way. 🌻

The children participated enthusiastically in a canvas painting activity using acrylic paints, brushes, and individual palettes. They independently selected colours and explored different painting techniques, including brush strokes, mixing colours, and applying varying amounts of paint. Each child created a unique piece of artwork, demonstrating creativity and self-expression. Throughout the activity, the children showed good concentration and engagement, remaining focused as they experimented with colours and textures. They practised fine motor skills by holding and controlling the paintbrushes and developed hand-eye coordination while painting on the canvas. Some children confidently talked about the colours they had chosen and shared their finished artwork with their peers, promoting communication and confidence. The activity also encouraged independence, decision-making, and a sense of pride in their creations. Overall, the painting experience provided opportunities for creative exploration while supporting children's physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development.

Children took part in counting activities using coloured paper. They had to collect the correct number of mega blocks from the box and place them on the matching coloured paper. Everyone showed great participation and supported one another with their counting. After they finished, the children felt very proud of their achievements and demonstrated their understanding of colours and numbers. Well done to everyone for their hard work.
